Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

TezType ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Typing results (stored locally only). Your test scores, WPM, accuracy, and personal bests are saved in your own browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device — we cannot see or access it.

Contact messages. If you contact us via email, we receive your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry.

Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time of visit for security and performance purposes.

2. Cookies

We use a minimal number of cookies and browser storage:

You can delete cookies and clear site data at any time through your browser settings. The site will continue to work, but your saved preferences and scores will be lost.

3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

We may use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

For more information, see Google's Advertising Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which pages are popular). These do not identify you personally.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

6. Children's Privacy

TezType is a general-audience educational tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet transmission is 100% secure. Your typing data stays in your browser, which is the strongest protection — we never receive it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
